Imagine visiting a foreign land. You see a nice restaurant with many happy people, but you can't read or understand their menu. Visitors to Korea stand in a dark street far from home, feeling sad & lonely. Overseas guests walk long distances for chain-food burgers, avoiding Korean-language menus. Let's instead Share the Warmth of Korea.

We are making user-friendly neighborhoods for non-Korean visitors. Student volunteers help romanize & translate shop menus. Participating shops then display the "Friendly Shop" label on their door, recognized soon by happy international visitors. Accessible menus clearly welcome customers from everywhere!

숙명여자대학교 학생들은 한국을 방문하는 외국인들의 편리함을 위해 웹사이트 하나를 운영하고있다. 외국인들이 쉽게 읽고 이해할 수 있도록 식당의 메뉴를 한국어 발음표기 부터 번역까지 모두 지원하고 있다. 이를 참여하는 식당들은 입구에 " Friendly Shop" 스티커로 표시함으로 외국인 방문객들의 시선을 사로잡을 것이다. 이렇게 쉽게 읽고 이해할 수 있는 메뉴는 당연히 외국인 방문객의 한국 식당으로의 발걸음을 한결 가볍게 해줄 것이다.

Our menu-builder database now contains over 1100 food items in 5 languages (Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese simplified, Chinese traditional) with Korean & Japanese romanization -- a great tool for helping translation. We also publicize our network of Friendly Shops, and distribute a map to visitors with Friendly Shop locations. Let's make Korea more a hub for the world!

본 웹사이트는 메뉴DB 시스템은 현재 1100가지 이상의 요리를 5개의 언어(한국어,영어,일본어,중국어 간체,중국어 번체)로 구성되어 있다. 또한 모두 한국어 발음표기가 되어 있어 편리함을 더하고 있다. 우리는 또한 "Friendly Shop"에 가입된 네트워크 홍보하기 위하여 가입된 식당 위치를 찾기 쉽게 지도화 하여 배포 하고 있다. 한국을 세계속의 중심으로 함께 만들어가길 희망한다.
